A few odd pictures from my garden.

A few "odd" pics from my garden.

Our garden, complete with my washing.

Some algae growing on our stone hedgehog.

First flowers opening on the Climbing Hydrangea.

I found this wild flower in our garden.  I think it's Shamrock, but it's past
it's best.  (I found a better example below.)

Norman was watching me all the time.

People making spectacles of themselves.

When I go to events one of the things I look out for is people wearing mirrored sunglasses.

Something other than flowers!

A few pics from my archives instead of garden flowers (although I do have more of them!)

A few portraits of characters I've met at various events.

Cleethorpes Scooter Rally.

Urban Arts Festival, Grimsby.

A "Resident" of Cleethorpes.

An inquisitive cow at Grainsby Park.

Kingston Upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire.
One of my favourite "street pics".

(More) Summer flowers. Leaf Patterns.

Not just flower pics, but a variety of leaf patterns & shapes + one small flower.

Nasturtium leaf, backlit by the morning sun.

A single Campanula flower.  We have large carpets of this pretty flower,
it's very easy to propagate and spreads freely.  We've had them for many
years but this year, for the first time, our tortoise Joey took a liking for the flowers
and enjoys eating them.  I've checked with the Tortoise Society and they are
perfectly safe and ok for them to eat.

The leaf of the "Illumination Trailing"  Begonia.

Beech leaf, backlit.  We have a Beach hedge and all the new leaves have opened.

This + the previous Beech leaf was photographed against the midday sun.

This last Beech leaf was photographed against late evening sun, hence
the different colour temperature.

Lincolnshire Mills.

Lincolnshire has a lot of mills, some derelict, others now residential and many restored and still working.
These images from my archives, they have been on the blog before but many years ago.

Heckington windmill, near Sleaford.  The only 8 sailed mill with it's sails still
intact in the UK.  Built in 1830.

Alvingham Watermill, near Louth.  Still working until a few years ago but now
a private residence.   Built in 1782.

Cogglesford Watermill in Sleaford.  Still a working mill and open to the public.
(Closed currently during the Covid 19 Pandemic).
The current mill is on the River Slea and was built in the early 18th centuary but
corn has been milled on this site for over 1,000 years.

Garden images during "isolation".

All my Spring garden flowers have finished, but the summer flowers are beginning to bloom and our Clematis has two flowers open and many more in bud.  The Welsh (or Icelandic) Poppies flowered very early and will do so until the frosts so I've started off with a couple of them.

I've found that bright sunlight makes flower photography very difficult, these were taken in the evening, after the sun had gone down behind some distant houses.

Eventually the light failed and stopped play, the moon is out!
