Spilsby, (3 of 5)

Continuing my walk around the market town of Spilsby, in Lincolnshire.

An old ventilation pipe for the underground drainage system.

Traditional filling station also selling newspapers etc.

It's nice to see that old fashioned service is still alive and well in Spilsby.
the sign on the fuel pumps says "attended service only".
(Click on the picture to see it larger)

This took my eye, see next image.

Perhaps coincidental to have a blind shop adjoined to an opticians?

The next 3 images are all about Sir John Franklin, born in Spilsby.

I rather liked this modern clock.

Spilsby, (2 of 5)

Being Sunday the security grill was in place at the window.

I think the grill adds to the picture.

The New Life Community Church, on the end of what was the old Grammar School.

Spilsby Theatre.

Spilsby, (1 of 5)

The market town of Spilsby is 33 miles to the east of Lincoln.

Around the central area of the town are quite a few interesting shops.

My dog Suzi gave this a very wide berth!

This statue commemorates Sir John Franklin who discovered the North West Passage
and was born in Spilsby.

Cycle Shop

Is this what's meant by things on "Hire Perches"?
