Scooter Rally at Cleethorpes. Part 3, "Tears of a Clown" Gazza's Story.

This scooter depicts the England footballer Paul Gascoigne ("Gazza").  At the semi-final game of the FIFA Football World in 1990, he was deemed to have committed a foul and was awarded a yellow card.  He realised that, if England won through to the Final, he wouldn't be allowed to play in it as the rules meant he had to miss the next game.  He became emotional and had to be consoled by his team mates.

However, England were beaten in that semi-final game and didn't reach the final.

Wold Newton, (3 of 3).

The 3rd and final set of pictures from Wold Newton.

Some nettles making patterns.

Cow parsley.

As well as being a popular area for walkers cyclists enjoy this part of Lincolnshire.

A couple of heavy horses up on the Wolds.

One of the estate houses undergoing renovation.  I've photographed this house several times.

I've no idea what "The Welfitts" refers to, one day I'll try to find out.

How do you like my car?  I wish, it happened past as I was taking the end sign
out of the village and I thought it filled the space quite well.

Pictures in this series taken on a Panasonic TZ60 compact.

Wold Newton, (2 of 3).

This is the iconic red British telephone kiosk that was a familiar site in the streets of Great
Britain from 1926 until it was replaced by the more modern KX series in 1985.  Many can
still be found in villages and towns where the residents asked for them to remain.

Wold Newton is in the Lincolnshire Wolds which is a popular area for walkers.

Most of the cottages have name plates referring to their former occupants.

Wold Newton, (1 of 3).

Wold Newton is a small village of one main road and a few houses dotted around it.  It's one of our favourite walks and I took these photo's on one of our walks a few weeks ago.

Scooter Rally at Cleethorpes. Part 1, Mirrors.

The National Motor Scooter Rally was held in my town recently and offered a fine opportunity for photographs.  I've edited them down into groups and will post some from time to time.

The first set is all about mirrors, the more a scooter has attached, the greater it's "street cred" (apparently).

Rose Cottage, July 2015. (Set 3 of 3)

This is the last visit to Rose Cottage.
In the front garden.

Tea & cakes were included.....

The last few posts have followed a floral theme so (to quote Monty Python) I'll be posting
something "completely different" for the next week or so.

All images in this set taken on a Panasonic G5 camera.
