Some alternative views of Cleethorpes.

I had a walk around Cleethorpes away from the seafront.  These aren't places our visitors tend to frequent.

This fisherman's cottage is the oldest dwelling in Cleethorpes.

"The Fisherman's Arms" public house is on Wardle Street.
This was my dad's favourite pub when he was home from sea.

An interesting alleyway on Seaview Street.

Outside seating area for a pub on Cambridge Street.

Cleethorpes Town hall.

Cleethorpes was an amalgamation of the two hamlets of Oole & Itterby.  Green fields separated
them and the main shopping street of Cleethorpes, now called St. Peters Avenue was
in the past known as Oole Road.
This street was named Oole Road long after the two areas combined to become the town
we know today.

Another lesser known thoroughfare is Cuttleby, no vehicle access at all, it connects
Cambridge Street to Albert Road.

Cuttleby.

In Albert Road is this hotel with a striking modern art sculpture at it's door.

Chilly day, the vents on the library are letting off steam!

We still hang out washing in Cleethorpes.

Garage on Oole road.

Autumn colours in the Town Hall car park.

Emporium 53

"Emporium 53" is an art display shop in Cambridge Street, Cleethorpes.  A group of local artists have their work for sale & on display there and I was impressed by the variety and high quality of their pieces.  Well worth a visit.

Emporium 53 is directly opposite Cleethorpes old Town Hall.

This is Inga, one of the artists.  Inga works in Botanical Art & Design.

First Pictures from a new Camera.

I've been waiting quite a while for a new camera which has finally arrived.  First pictures from it are taken on Cleethorpes seafront.
(Again!)

Today was a lovely sunny & warm day in Cleethorpes and there were quite a few people on the beach, even the donkeys were out.
