Happy New Year, here's "Twelve of the Best".

Between Christmas & New Year I decided to choose
"Twelve of the Best".

I went through all my posts for 2019 and picked out what, in my opinion, was the "best" single picture from each of the 12 months.

It wasn't meant to be the most interesting picture, or one with the best lighting.  I just chose the pictures that brought back a memory, made me smile or ones I just liked.

I could have picked several "Best Twelves" but had to be strict with myself.

January.
The Cemex Cement factory at South Ferriby.

February.
Freezing fog at Cleethorpes.

March.
a Llama I "met" on a walk.

April.
Cherry Blossom in Haverstoe Park.

May.
Wolds Landscape.

June.
A rainy day.

July.
10 legs!

August.
Taken at the last 1940s Weekend to be held at North
Thoresby Village.

September.
Wolds panorama.

October.
Flooded Tetney Haven at the weir.

November.
Autumn at Grainsby.

December.
The lane through Wold Newton.

And finally, yes this is number 13, but I couldn't leave
out my "Suzi"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Lincolnshire Landscape mix.

Welton Le Wold village.

Somewhere on top of the Wolds (?)

In WW11 Lincolnshire was known as "Bomber County" due to the large number of
airfields.  This is a memorial to 625 Squadron, traces of it are still around but now the
fields are quiet and the few remaining buildings used by farmers as stores.

"Top Farm" at Beesby.  Plenty of winter feed laid by for the cattle.

Near Swinhope.

Lots of these across The Wolds.

Near Swinhope again.

Ditto.

The lane at Beesby.

Louth Garden Centre at Christmas. (Part 2 of 2).

Continuing my visit to the Christmas display at Louth Garden Centre.

This next display was all about winter and all things white.

The next display was the illuminated decorations.

This carousel was turning.

Two more displays to finish with.

On my way out now.

Thank you to the staff at Louth Garden Centre, not only did I get some colourful i8mages but the display got me in the mood for Christmas.

Louth Garden Centre at Christmas. (Part 1 of 2).

I visited the Garden Centre at Louth and they kindly allowed me to photograph their Christmas display and to post the pictures on my blog.  I took quite a few so have split them into two sets.

This display had a fireplace telling a story.

A roaring fire in the grate.

Some naughty elves abseil down the chimney with fire extinguishers.

They try to put the fire out.

I didn't expect to feature any dogs in this post but was pleased to be proved wrong!

A festive carrier bag to finish the first set.
