Postcards from Lincoln Steam & Vintage Festival.

A few images taken at the Lincoln "Steam & Vintage Rally, August 2015.  I took a lot of pictures that day but I always gravitate to the classic & vintage road vehicles.  Here are just a few of my favourites.

This beast was as noisey and fearsome as it looked.

Postcards from Sheffield. ("Grafitti City")

A few archive pics of a day out (across the border) in Sheffield, Yorkshire.  Taken in February 2014.

"The Hub", Students Union building at Sheffield College.

Sheffield, along with several other cities, is known as "Grafitti City" because of the extensive
amount of high quality art works around the buildings of Sheffield.

David Attenborough, of course.

Harry Brearley, see below.
Harry Brearley (18 February 1871 – 14 July 1948) was an English metallurgist, credited with the invention of "rustless steel" (later to be called " stainless steel "

Patterns in the Garden.

Back to my garden but this time I tried to find patterns within the plants & trees.

I've exhausted the things to photograph in my garden and some of my Spring flowers are now past their best anyway.  So, I may not be posting anything new for a while.

Our Silver Birch tree.
Birch leaf.

Birch bark patterns.

Bath time Abstract Pics.

Just passing my time during "Lockdown", I ventured indoors on a cold day and got a few abstract pics in our bathroom.
Either reflections in the shower drain cover, or water drops on it's surface.  I messed about with them a bit in Photoshop.

(I realise these pics will only be of interest to fellow photographers)

Lockdown images from the garage.

In order to pass my time during "Lockdown", I've left the garden to see what I can amuse myself with in my garage.

I realise these are not typical "Lincolnshire" pictures but they're taken in Lincolnshire.
In the current strange situation, my garden and garage are the only places I can go.

A porcelain model of a King Charles Cavalier, bought for us as it resembles our Suzi.

An ornament made from British Coal.  We bought this as it resembles another of our
dogs, a Patterdale Terrier called Abby.  She was a rescue dog and a real favourite of mine.

This is not a reminder of one of our dogs, nor is it a "Selfie"!
The dog is a wax candle, hence the wick sticking out of it's head.

Here he is "wickless".

This is the setup I used in my garage, natural daylight through the open side door
plus a reflector.

Some of my wife Carole's collection of "Lilliput Houses".

Brought in from the garden, I tried a traditional still life image.
