Frosty, Foggy Day at Cleethorpes. Kingsway (Part 1 of 2)

For a break from the usual villages and shops I went out last week when we had some very frosty, very cold and foggy mornings.  This set was taken along the Kingsway which which runs parallel to the promenade and beach at Cleethorpes.

The Kingsway, Cleethorpes on a very frosty morning.  This is one of several Victorian shelters
along the Kingsway.  They afford shelter all year round, even in summer when on sunny
days we often get a chilly sea breeze.

Looking further along the Kingsway  you can see the blocks of modern appartments
that have been built in recent years.

Down on the South promenade below the Kingsway.  In the distance is the Leisure Centre and
over the wall to the left is the beach.  On a clear day there are nice views across the Humber
Estuary to the Yorkshire coast.  Not today thought!

From the same position (I just spun around) with the sun behind me there is quite a good view
along the South Promenade and beyond to the Central Promenade and the pier.

Back on the Kingsway and one of the Victorian shelters.  They were renovated several years
ago and brought back to how they might have originally looked.  Unfortunately the vandals
did their worst and they are now looking a bit tired.  The next image illustrates the point!

One broken glass and another missing!
I couldn't show the graffiti as it was
too explicit!

Further along the Kingsway and this lad was late for school!

Waiting for the next bus.

Part 2 of 2 will appear very soon.

All pictures taken on my Panasonic G5 camera.
