Jousting at Lincoln Castle. (Set 2 of 2).


The Jester (on stilts by the way) was hilarious.




Mid-afternoon the Knights came out to joust.




The top section of each Knight's lance was made of a very soft wood designed to shatter
on impact but it was still a very dangerous activity.


This "Knight" receives the lance from a lady in waiting.  I used inverted commas because
this Knight is a lady!




Another of the "Knights" revealed as a woman at the end of the event as they left the arena.
