International Market at Cleethorpes.

 In the months after I lost my wife I spent as much time as I could out of the house, walking with Popcorn and taking photographs.  I have a lot of photo's from those times and will post them over the winter.

Each year Cleethorpes hosts an International Market with stalls from countries around the world selling mostly food items mixed with craft items.  The market was on our South Promenade for three weeks last August.

This stall sold Churros but I don't know what country they're from. 

Obviously these are from France.

Although most stall holders were ok about me taking photo's this one looked a bit unsure.

I think this one was selling "slush" but I'm not sure.

Stalls came from all over the world and there were a lots of different nationalities 
in the people visiting.

This one sold all manner of toys and beaded goods.

This stallholder was constantly on his phone, he sold some lovely, intricate bead wares.

And also these mini bikes.

At this pointy I could see a storm coming from across the water so decided to head for the car.

I particularly liked this couple with their young daughter.  I pointed at my camera and them
and they seemed to agree as mum posed the girl on her scooter for me.

I hurried back to the car but Popcorn & I got soaked!

Riverside event at the Riverhead, Louth.

 Following on from the last two posts at Louth, another visit to Louth on another day, photo's taken back in September.  

Our walk centred around the Riverhead at Louth, various events were taking place over the weekend.

A folk music event was being held on the decked area.

Out on the River Ludd young people were being taught how to use paddle borads.

I managed to get a seat where I could get some photo's of the singer for a while.

I had a walk downstream to "Top Lock", once the final lock on the Louth Navigation Canal
before reaching the Riverhead. 

As often happens, I met a dog on our walk.  Popcorn was very well behaved with it.

I made my way back on the opposite side of the water so I could return through
the old industrial area.

Once a wharf side industrial building this is now a micro brewery and pub.

Back at the folk music festival.

This young lady was reciting poetry written by herself.  She covered a variety
of subjects, some depicting life & places in Lincolnshire.  I really enjoyed them.

A walk around Louth.

Following on from my last post at the Christmas Market in Louth here are some more photo's from there.

 I took these photo's back in September when Popcorn and I had a walk around the market town of Louth in Lincolnshire.  Known as "The gateway to the Wolds", Louth is on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.  A ridge of hills that start at Barton Upon Humber in the north near the Humber Bridge and finish south of Spilsby before the land levels out onto The Fens.  The area is designated an Area of outstanding Beauty.

My quirky eye spotted two very different forms of transport.  A blue plaque on the 
wall tells a gruesome story!

antiques expert Colin Young, this is the Louth branch of the firm.
