Sheep at Ravendale.

Ravendale Valley is in the Lincolnshire Wolds, these sheep graze along a steep hill there.

Most of the sheep had been sheared recently and the lambs were growing quickly.

It was quite hot and this group were sheltering in a shady corner.

  1. Always like to see sheep and other farm animals roaming free. Blue sky here at the moment.

    1. The sheep had all been sheared but some appeared to have been practiced on by a novice! πŸ˜ƒ. Sunny here with fluffy clouds, cooller. We're in the Anglian Water area who don't envisage imposing hosepipe bans. Our water comes from underground aquafers below the chalk so evapouration due to hot weather isnt such a problem. 😊 πŸ• 🐒

  2. Nice to see the sheep, David. I've recently remarked that here in the Netherlands farmers don't seem to give their sheep water, but I hope they're doing so now. There's no moisture in the grass at all.

    1. Thanks for commenting Val. I know the farmers here provide water troughs for cows but I don't recall seeing the same for sheep. Take care. 😊 πŸ• 🐒
