We had a drive into the Lincolnshire Wolds on a day of sunshine, sleety showers and strong wind. Ideal for clouds and atmosphere but we had to dodge the showers.
Suzi did get a couple of walks, without either of us getting wet.

Lizard or Dachshund? Or have I got a strange imagination? I was tempted to put an "eye" on it, but resisted! |

An odd thing to photograph I know, I just love colours! Olympus EM10 Mk2 + 12-60 Lumix lens. |
Stunning photos David! The Oliseed rape field yet to flower looks very moody, with that dark sky, and the one in flower is amazing, with swirly patterns in the field, blue sky and perfect clouds. Love the colour and composition of the Conoco Oil Tanks. You shouldn't worry about odd subjects - I have an old friend that used to take photos of sewage works and continental supermarkets in other wise stunning scenery ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Lulu, thanks for commenting, I do enjoy what people have to say about my pics. I'm pleased I'm not the only one to "see" the sausage dog. I have a friend who breeds& shows them but, wo betide anyone he hears calling them Sausage dogs!! 😮
DeleteTake care, stay safe. 😊 🐕 🐢
p.s. the log does look like a sausage dog!
ReplyDeleteI love bins too, David. They're often so bright and their angles can be appealing too. Wonderful photos. Would you give a hint to us poor outlanders as to where that beautiful valley is? The skies, the clouds and the vistas are magnificent. As for your log, I'm going for lizard!
ReplyDeleteThe valley is a bit of a secret of ours but I'll share it with you. It's at North Ormsby, not far from the market town of Louth. On one side of the valley the remains of an abbey can be seen in the grassy slopes where the foundations still remain below the ground.
DeleteWell, I thought Lizard but my wife says Dachsund 😊. Thanks for commenting, much appreciated. 😊 🐕 🐢
Super photos David, everywhere appears so neat and tidy, even the Tank Depot blends in perfectly. Some Glorious clouds contrasting with the blue sky. Very enjoyable post. Good wishes.
ReplyDeleteLincolnshire is known as the county of "big skies" and there's no better weather to photograph them than showery days with wind. Thanks for your comments Mike. 😊
DeleteI’m behind with my comments, but not with reading! I loved the 2nd installment of the Louth Canal project. So very interesting and well documented with your photos. That’s definitely a dachshund, particularly due to the position of the front legs! These are marvelous photos and the bold colors are perfect, including the bright yellow bin. Photos like these, particularly viewed full screen remind me of the immense beauty of our planet and colors that come with the change of seasons. Beautiful post all around.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann, you know how much I love my colours. You agree with my wife about it being a Dachsund, I often see "faces" etc in nature, especially clouds which always seem to be dogs. Today I spotted an elephant in the trunk (no pun intended) of a tree! It will feature eventually on the blog! Take care. 😊 🐕 🐢
