Having fun on the water.

Popcorn & I had  walk along the Fitties at Humberston, our favourite place just now.  The tide was right up, which I don't normally like, but there was lots of activity on the water.

A couple of jet skiers were having fun on the water, one was towing an inflatable raft behind
it on a long tow rope.  The raft had a few children on it and was travelling at speed.  The other
jet skier was the safety observer who lead the way and then let the towing skier past to observe,
and ensure no-one fell out of the raft and got left behind.

They kept well clear of the paddle boarders.

And then headed out a surprisingly long way.

The paddle boarders enjoying the peace and quiet on the calm water.  This is something I would
love to try, but I think that day has long gone for me.

The jet skiers made their way past again later.

Calm and quiet now around the sandbank.  This sandbank only gets completely covered
during the higher spring tides.

On the popular part of the beach at the Fitties, all kinds of activities.

I'll finish this post with a couple of peaceful scenes on this lovely day.

The school holidays are over now and soon the season will be over.  We get this beach back
to ourselves then.  So I'm looking forward to windswept rough seas to photograph.
The local wind surfing club will then provide the entertainment.

  1. Hi again David. You are fortunate to have such a lovely place to walk with Popcorn and your camera. What a pretty day! I’ve been told that anyone can paddle board and I think you should give it a try sometime. Perhaps if you look longingly at the paddle boarders they will offer a go at it for you! This is such a beautiful and clean looking beach. It’s the kind of solitude I love. Enjoy it! Ann

    1. This beach is so different to the beach just a short distance along at Cleethorpes. No amusement arcades, hot dog stalls or entertainment, just sea and sand. Quite dangerous though due to the sand bars, fast flowing creeks and shifting sands/ mud. The resort safety team monitor the beach at every tide as it starts to advance advise people when to come back in. People still get cut off and have to be rescued though
      It's my favourite area though,
the creeks and sand bars change their shape and positions all the time.
Popcorn is very vocal when we arrive anywhere but seems to like the Fitties most
Take care Ann, I hope you manage to visit New Englabd for the Fall colours this year. David
