The 2 heads depict a very sad story, the ending wasn't a happy one.

We met these two guys, the one on the left is Alexander
Reichardt, a photographer
from Greece who has a photographic exhibition at The Deep in November.

This bronze statue was given to the City of Hull by the
people of Norway. It stands on the quayside looking out
to sea as the fishermen's family's would have done when Hull
was a major deep sea fishing port.
Perhaps keeping a vigil awaiting those fishermen who will never return. |
