Caistor & Hatcliff

Caistor is a market town on the north west edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It was origionally a Roman fortress and is named in The Doomsday Book as "Castre".

The day we visited the weather wasn't good for photography, we were taking my wife Carole's paintings to an exhibition there.  I decided to take a few photo's of the lesser visited bits of the town.

Empty!

A glimpse of the hills in the distance that are the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Just along here, on the left, is the best fish & chip shop I know of.
"Micks Caistor Chippy"

Hatcliff.

On our way home we visited the pretty village of Hatcliff in the Lincolnshire Wolds.  A stream runs through the village.
