Lincolnshire Churches. St. Michaels, Buslingthorpe.

"Buslingthorpe is a hamlet in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated half a mile east from the A46 at Faldingworth and 3 miles (5 km) south-west from Market Rasen. The population is included in the civil parish of Linwood
The hamlet is approximately 3 square miles (7.8 km2) in area, and comprises a moat, 1 farm, St Michael's Church (now disused, but open to the public) and approximately 20 houses."

This effigy is of Sir John de Buslingthorpe.  The Buslingthorpe family held the Manor
at Buslingthorpe for over 300 years. 
The Manor has disappeared without trace but traces of it's original moat can be seen
near the church.
