Cleethorpes Seafront (1 of 2)

Another stroll along Cleethorpes seafront.

Cleethorpes always wins awards in the Britain
in Bloom contest.  The building in the B/G
was the Empire Theatre but is now an
amusement arcade.

Telephone one side, cash machine on
the other side.

As with most of the Cleethorpes public houses Sky TV showing sport is a big attraction.

One of the slot rides.

These modern versions of the "crane grab" are very popular.

Some of the toys that you "might" win!!

"The Mint" amusement arcade.  Probably named as it earns a "mint" for the owners!!

Always do a good trade.

"Whipped" ice creams are my favourite!
Part 2 will follow soon, I'm spending a lot of my time fishing just now so may only update
the blog once a week.

All pictures taken on a Panasonic FZ150 camera.

Gunby Hall & Gardens (5 of 5)

The 5th and final part in this series at Gunby Hall.  There was so much to see and photograph here
and although I cut out a lot of images I decided to show as much as possible in these 5 parts.

The gatehouse, cafe & stables.

The stable block.

A very pleasant setting outside the cafe.

Alliums and my dog Suzi waiting for me!
The next few images are of some of the roses.

The arbor, still occupied!

Entering the courtyard, not many open gardens allow dogs but, as can be seen on the noticeboard
they are made welcome at Gunby Hall.

The main visitor entrance into the courtyard.

If you have stuck with me through all 5 sets of images I hope you enjoyed seeing them as much as
I enjoyed bringing them to you.  If you are in the area then visit Gunby Hall & Gardens  yourself,
I'm sure you wont be dissapointed.

All images in this series taken on a Panasonic Lumix G5 camera.

Gunby Hall & Gardens (4 of 5)

An old pump in the courtyard.

This garden was full of herbaceous plants, only a narrow path between them.

Another sundial.

Looking toward the arbor.

The arbor, now occupied.  I never saw it empty after this.

More Alliums.

Not sure, but I think these leaves are Guneras?

Rear elevation of Gunby hall.

They have a team of gardeners at Gunby Hall, I spoke with this young man.  He is a horticulture
student volunteering at the hall to gain experience.  Plenty for him to get involved with!

The 5th and final part to follow soon.

Gunby hall & Gardens (3 of 5)

A quiet corner filled with ferns.

A long view down a corridor to a sundial.

A very substantial ornate urn.

The artist still at work.

Quiet moment.

Another view of the front of the Hall.

Part 4 to follow.
