HALLOWEEN!

I don't really approve of Halloween, but when I saw this house decorated I couldn't resist taking a few pics for the Blog.

Recent heavy rain.

We've had heavy rain recently, especially last weekend, when it rained for 36 hours.   No actual flooding in our area but, when we get prolonged  heavy rain, all the water seeps down from the Lincolnshire Wolds, into the rivers and out to the coast.
I went along to where the Louth Canal flows out to sea and found the banks breached and a very high water level.

This was taken in January this year at the weir where the Louth Canal becomes
the Teney Haven just a couple of miles from the North Sea.  The water level is about
the average for most of the year.

The same spot/view taken a couple of days ago.  The concrete apron to the left, which
anglers fish from, is under a few feet of flood water and the central pier & weir out of site.
Both banks of the river where people walk dogs are flooded.

Looking back in the opposite direction the view is quite sedate.

Archive photographs from Wolds Railway.

Pictures taken in 2010 at the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, on a very dark, snowy day.  Taken on a Panasonic bridge camera.

The dog belongs to one of the volunteers and is often seen around the yard.

Misc pictures, various locations.

A few unrelated pictures from the archives, taken on different cameras, different days & locations.

Nettleham Beck.
Nettleham is a popular, attractive village just a few miles south of Lincoln and has a stream running through it known as "The Beck".

These first 3 pics taken on a Canon Ixus 40 compact camera.
The following pictures
where taken on a Panasonic FZ45 bridge camera.

Blog Stats.

I regularly review my Blog's Viewing Statistics and I'm often surprised at the countries that have been viewing it.

Below is a screenshot of the stats and, as you can see, there has been a lot of interest in Russia, Netherlands & the USA along with many other countries.

I would like to know who some of these people are, to leave a comment all you need is a Google Gmail email address.

One or two more pictures from the archives.

While trawling thro' the picture archives I came across some pictures taken on a bridge camera I once had, a Panasonic FZ150.  I'd taken the pictures in Rawfile format but can't remember if I ever used them, so had a "play" with them.

The pictures were all taken in 2014 in Cleethorpes Market Place, at the time I had a project underway photographing shops.

Steels Corner House is, in my opinion, the best fish & chip resturant in Cleethorpes.

All pics taken on a Panasonic Lumix FZ150 bridge camera,
taken as rawfiles and post edited in Photoshop Elements 2012.

A few old snow pics.

I haven't been able to get out with my camera for quite a while, rain most days.
So I've had a trawl through the archives and come up with a few snow pictures.  Not sure if they've been on the blog before but, they're all from 2012 so I doubt anyone will remember them.
Different locations, different days.

All previous pics taken on a Canon 400D.

Not taken in the snow, this fox was sunbathing in our garden on a Clematis shrub.
Taken with a bridge camera, Panasonic FZ45.
