Garden update Aug 2024

 Despite the poor start to this summer my garden still has plenty of colour.  A few pics around the garden, taken on my mobile phone.

Another day at the Humberston Fitties.

 My last post was also from the Humberston Fitties, on a bright but chilly day in June.  We returned there during the recent hot sunny weather and the beach area was packed with summer visitors.  The walk took us away from that area to where the Tetney Marshes Nature Reserve begins.

Although some distance from the beach and promenades at Cleethorpes this beach at
Humberston is popular in hot sunny weather. Being only 100 yards from a Free car park helps.  

Common Ragwort, it's all over just at the moment.

More activity on the beach.

A bit further away, not so crowded with good access to the beach.

This young woman had her own way of finding solitude.  I met her a while later and she tolled
me how peaceful it is out on the water.

Dogs are allowed on this beach as it's well away from the commercial area of Cleethorpes.

The tide was on the turn and quickly receding.

My walk took me through the dunes, where it's always quiet.

This lady walking her dog stopped to speak with me.

Still a few people enjoying their day at the seaside.

the end of our walk, we returned through the Humberston Fitties Chalet Park, a site that 
has been given listed protection status.  I posted photo's from here in the past and you can see
