Tennyson County, 6th & final Part. Harrington & Harrington Hall.

Harrington & Harrington Hall

Harrington is a hamlet and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire.
Harrington Hall is a Grade I listed red-brick country house.

The road leading into Harrington with views over the Lincolnshire Wolds.  This area is right in
the heart of the Wolds.

The day we visited this area there were a lot of empty horse boxes along the verges and down little lanes.
A sure sign that a hunt was in progress and sure enough, these two riders came along making their way
back after the hunt had finished.

Harrington Hall.
The main reason people visit the area is to see Harrington Hall.

There is a public footpath across an adjacent field that affords the best views of the Hall.

Harrington Hall suffered a dreadful fire a few years ago but was then restored to it's original state.

Leaving Harrington you get views over the Lincolnshire Wolds.

This gateway had lots of horses hoof marks, perhaps the hunt had passed this way earlier?

This is the last in this series depicting the Lincolnshire Wolds & villages in & around the area
known as "Tennyson County".  I hope you enjoyed the images and may be inspired
(perhaps in the warmer summer weather!) to visit the area to enjoy looking for Tennyson.

All pictures taken on my Panasonic FZ150 camera.
