We visited Gunby Hall in Lincolnshire recently, walked around the gardens and watched the wood carver at work.
Around the gardens.
The Wood Carver.
In a building in the courtyard is the wood carver's workshop.

Gunby Hall is owned by The National Trust. |
First view of the Hall as you park your car. |
Eryngium, or Sea Holly. Still attractive long after it's flowered. |
Agapanthus. |
These ladies were enjoying a warm spot in the gardens.
(They kindly gave me permission to photograph them and put the picture on my blog).
|
The Dovecote. |
A croquet set is always left out for visitors to try their hand. |

Is that you Derek? (Private joke). |
Should have gone to "Specsavers"?
(Other Opticians are available.)
