Locked in time.

Yesterday I came across a bridge where people had attached padlocks with dedications written on them.  It's become quite a popular trend.

  1. There are many places here as well that have "love locks". I think they are fun to photograph and read but some places have banned further locks due to the weight of them on some fences and gates. You've made a great collection, David. These are delightful!

    1. Thank you Ann, I chose just one of two to feature, some others were obviously more in sorrow and quite personal.

  2. I saw a place in Australia, where they had to take most of the bridge down and replace the sides due to the weight of locks. Whilst I think they look interesting, personally I see it as a form of graffiti. Still, whatever..... Great pics as usual David.

    1. Thank you Diane, always appreciate your views on things. It's surprising what we photogs find to photograph!

  3. It's quite nice symbolism - throw the key away and be locked together forever. The idea seems to have caught on in many countries. Fun photos and nice to see Granny and Grandad joining in.
