Different days, places and views.

We've had a few short drives out recently and I've "bunched" the photo's together to make one post.

A lane at Humberston, an attractive old barn once existed to the left of the central tree but
it had to be demolished a few years ago.

I'm always fascinated by odd leaves that manage to cling on right thro' the winter.

New leaves emerging into the Spring.

A favourite tree in the valley at North Ormsby.

Fences, it's an obsession of mine.

Wild Campion.

Rape coming into flower.

Wild Garlic... see picture below.

The whole of the hillside to the left is wild Garlic and will soon been in flower.

Another favourite tree with Autumn sown  cereal crops beginning to flourish.

Between Yarbough and Alvingham, see next pic.

An old Lincolnshire barn converted to cottages quite a fewe years ago.
I installed telephone service to one or two of these cottages at the time.

A familiar sight now along the Lincolnshire coast.

This large wind turbine was constructed by a local land owner.

A railway bridge on the redundant Great Northern Railway.

Chalk stream at Alvingham.

Only a drainage dyke but very attractive all the same.

Common Orchid, the grass verge along the road was full of wild flowers, see next pic too.

Cowslip.

The coastal strip lives up to Lincolnshire's reputation of being " flat & boring".

Lane just outside Louth.

  1. A great 'bunch' of photos, such lovely countryside. I don't think flat has to be seen as boring - as your relevant photos show. I guess being an agricultural area this is to its advantage. Thanks for the photos.
