Bradley is a small village on the outskirts of Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.
We visited it on a dull November afternoon.

David, what a wonderful initiative to build new houses in keeping with the style of the old barns. They look as if they fit in very well. The old house is lovely too and I agree. The chimney stacks are marvellous. I'm not a fan of autumn, but your photos make it all look so inviting. Even the gloomy sky looks great against that warm red brick!
ReplyDeleteOkay, maybe not real red brick, but a very lovely warm colour. I've just looked at your photos again and see my eyes deceived me :) The horses are magnificent beasts as well. I rarely manage to get such good shots of the ones I see.
DeleteWell thank you for both comments Val, always appreciated. Yes, the red bricks are conventional bricks known as "Lincoln Reds", very popular for these sort of rural developments. Autumn isn't a favourite time for me either, it can be lovely but very fleeting. I prefer the Spring with the promise of warmer, better weather to come.

Hell David, good to see that you are getting out with your camera. The village looks interesting and quite colourful, despite the dull day. I read that the Bradley Woods are supposedly haunted. It's a bit chilly here today.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, thanks for commenting. I've not heard about Weelsby Woods being haunted, we used to visit there another. Bluebells in the spring and lots of paths through the woods for walking a dog. We stopped visiting it quite a few years ago when gangs of youths begin to frequent it plus cars were broken into.
