Spring Flowers.

The first photo's I've taken this year, a few Spring flowers just opening in my garden.

It's been quite a while since my last post but a few days of sunshine encouraged the flowers to start opening and got me out into my garden.

Cold & foggy now so don't know when this will be repeated!

    1. These are the first flowers to open this Spring. The weather has gone back to dull, grey & damp again but we know it'll change very soon. Thanks for commenting Mike.

  2. So happy to see your post! Stunning early spring shots of your very healthy looking flowers. They are lovely and encouraging. Spring can’t come soon enough as far as I’m concerned.

    1. Hi Ann, well the weather was nice while it lasted (one day) but it can only get better now. Having said that, in 2018 we were in the middle of the worst snow storms for many years, known over here as "the beast from the east". Deep snow and gales straight from Russia.
Many bulbs are starting to show in our garden, including our Bluebells which started to appear on Christmas Day! They do this every year but then sit and wait for the warmer days before flowering.
Over last summer I did a lot of flower photography, I'm sure you'll remember, and got very intrigued by it. So I've bought a 60mm Olympus Macro lens, which these were taken on. This means more flower pics I'm afraid, until we can get out into our wonderful Lincolnshire countryside. Where there'll be lots more wild flower!
Take care & stay safe. David.

    2. How exciting to have a new lens! Looking forward to what you capture with it! Speaking of the lens, I came across my father’s old Olympus OM film camera, and wondered if I still know how to take a decent photo without a digital camera. Probably not!

    3. They were lovely cameras, I had an OM1 that I used for slide film + an OM10 (Auto) camera for prints. Of course, these digital days one camera does for all. Give it a try Ann.
