La Cuna Community Arts Project.

La Cuna on the Kingsway, Cleethorpes, is a community Arts Project, with funding from the National Lottery.  It aims to promote crafts, community, cycling and music.  Two of the ladies who organise the activities, Caroline & Louise allowed me in to take photographs of the work on display.

For more information, they can be found on Facebook.

La Cuna is directly opposite Brighton Street slipway on Cleethorpes seafront.

A sign that Popcorn was pleased to see.

A view inside, showing the wide range of craft and arts activities.

Good advice.

Some art work using a variety of upcycled materials.

I was particularly attracted to this manikin head.

Covered by papier Mache.

Looking out from the shop, the new RNLI station, almost complete now.

Louise doing some crochet work.

Another manikin head.

A walk around the market town of Louth.

More photo's from the archive, taken in 2024.

Louth is an attractive market town in Lincolnshire and known as "The Gateway to the Wolds", which are the high hills in Lincolnshire.  Popcorn and I had a walk around Louth in Mat 2024.

Lincolnshire is an agricultural county and we called at The Agricultural Division of
Lincolnshire Motors to photograph the latest, state of the art farming machinery.

I like the textures and shapes of these tractors.

This tractor appears to be beckoning Popcorn to come nearer!

The tracked machinery are real beasts.

These combiners have some of the widest cutters available.

Another tracked vehicle, the black makes it appear even more fearsome.

Going on into Louth now, this pub is named "My Father's Moustache"!

An small community area called "Spout Yard", in the centre of Louth.

Still some working K6 red telephone kiosks in Louth.

Lakings Butchers shop, well known in the area.

An art and collectors shop in the new indoor market area.

I photographed this painting in the window as it was painted by Ann Harris, a very
good friend of my wife and myself.

Market day at Louth, always very busy.

The indoor market.

New Street, photographed and shown many times on my Blog.

Cobbles Bar, very popular.

A hat shop selling very stylish and fashionable hats.

The Playhouse Cinema, they also have stage shows and a Panto at Christmas.

I spotted this great motorcycle combination, had to take some pics.

Making our way back to the car through the attractive streets of Louth.

"The Millars Daughter", public house.  Louth has a surprising number of pubs for a town
of it's size!

Back to the Co-Operative supermarket, where I usually park.  Very reasonable parking
charges (plus FREE on Sundays)!

Photo's taken on 8th May 2024.
