Louth is an attractive market town in Lincolnshire and known as "The Gateway to the Wolds", which are the high hills in Lincolnshire. Popcorn and I had a walk around Louth in Mat 2024.

Lincolnshire is an agricultural county and we called at The Agricultural Division of Lincolnshire Motors to photograph the latest, state of the art farming machinery. |
 |
| I like the textures and shapes of these tractors. |
 |
| This tractor appears to be beckoning Popcorn to come nearer! |
 |
| The tracked machinery are real beasts. |
 |
| These combiners have some of the widest cutters available. |
 |
| Another tracked vehicle, the black makes it appear even more fearsome. |

| Going on into Louth now, this pub is named "My Father's Moustache"! |

An small community area called "Spout Yard", in the centre of Louth.

"The Millars Daughter", public house. Louth has a surprising number of pubs for a town of it's size! |

Back to the Co-Operative supermarket, where I usually park. Very reasonable parking charges (plus FREE on Sundays)!

What a lovely post, David. Firstly, those tractors are quite amazing. I loved the one with the ‘finger’ beckoning Popcorn, but really! These modern machines are such beasts, aren’t they? As for Louth, how I’d love to see it myself. It’s the kind of place I’d love to live if I came back to the UK. Sadly, that’s will have to remain an ‘in my dreams’ idea as I had to give up my British citizenship to become a Dutch citizen, something I regret deeply, but dreaming is something I can still do. Louth looks perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the post Val, Louth is a special place.
