On a rare sunny day we managed to have a drive down to our seafront at Cleethorpes. I got out of the car occasionally to take a few photo's.
Cleethorpes isn't known for it's big waves or surf, I'm no expert but I think these
are paddle boards. They're very popular here.
Part of our illuminations, not on the scale of Blackpool!
Work on the beach for the new RNLI lifeboat station.
Always a few dog walkers on a sunny day.
Looking along our main seafront road, guest houses, pubs and cafes on the right
and the gardens and beach to the left.
This café is always popular, I used to call in for a cup of tea ans some toast
when I was working for BT.
The tide on it's way in, not really suitable for surfing although we do get some
really big waves and dangerous seas during the winter storms.
Amusements on the beach.
The "Mermaid Café" at the raliway station, built in Victorian times.
The station clock above the café, it wasn't working for a number of years but underwent
extensive repairs quite recently.
Fish & chips on the seafront.
