Manchester. (Set 2 of 4)

There's a lot of work happening around the canal area.

The best way to get around Manchester is on the trams.

Another alternative form of transport might be one of these?

There are several modern bridges in the Media City area.

Caistor & Hatcliff

Caistor is a market town on the north west edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It was origionally a Roman fortress and is named in The Doomsday Book as "Castre".

The day we visited the weather wasn't good for photography, we were taking my wife Carole's paintings to an exhibition there.  I decided to take a few photo's of the lesser visited bits of the town.

Empty!

A glimpse of the hills in the distance that are the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Just along here, on the left, is the best fish & chip shop I know of.
"Micks Caistor Chippy"

Hatcliff.

On our way home we visited the pretty village of Hatcliff in the Lincolnshire Wolds.  A stream runs through the village.

They are on display in the original stables at the hall.
