Some overlooked images from Grainsby.

I took these pictures just before the Autumn colours began, and then forgot about them!

A mix of images, from different days & different cameras, taken at Grainsby.

WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY & SAFE NEW YEAR.

The gatehouse from when this was a large country estate.

One of the estate workers cottages.  I used to stop and talk to a retired estate worker
called Dick who lived here.

The lanes of Lincolnshire are popular with cyclists.

Real signs of Autumn everywhere now.

Olympus EM1 Mk2 + Olympus EM10 Mk2.

    1. Thanks Mike, the recent frosty/sunny days were nice but, like you, drab & grim again today.

  2. It is delightful to see such beautiful colors in the midst of winter. It seems everything is grey and brown with the exception of an occasional blue sky. Some farmers here help the soil by planting cover crops and it’s always good to see a green field in winter though rare. Happy New Year, David. It’s great to see the blog once again.

    1. Hello, thank you for your comment. Not sure who you are but there are only two cottages in this blog post. I'm wondering if you're the daughter of Dick, who lived along the lane before reaching the gatehouse? The lady I'm thinking of had Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs.
Maybe that's not you, but thanks for your visit, please call again. David ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ•

  4. Hello David, I'm returning the visit you made to my blog and am delighted to see you live in Lincolnshire where I was a student many moons (okay years) ago. I've always said that if I could go back to England, Lincolnshire would be my first choice. It's like a more rural Netherlands in many ways, and I loved it there even though I grew up in the south of England. Your photos here confirm how lovely it is. Thank you! I shall follow your blog now and hope for more such posts.

    1. Pleased to hear you enjoyed Lincolnshire when you were here. Yes, I suppose it is similar to the Netherlands, especially along the North Sea coast. It has a reputation for being "flat & boring" but inland we have the hills and valleys of the Lincolnshire Wolds which are a complete contrast.
Thank you for following my blog, not much happening on it just now but, weather & Covid prrmitting, I'll be out with my camera before too long. ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ•
