Barton Creek and the Humber Bridge.

One of my favourite areas to keep going back to, only the boats change, and the bridge is always there!

Barton Creek, the boat repair yard and the Humber Bridge.

An old Humber Keelboat.  It's been beached here for as long as I can remember but may well
be restored at some point as they are very rare now and this one doesn't appear too bad.

The tide was just receding and these Black Headed gulls painted patterns on the mud
as they searched for food.

The futuristic Visitor Centre.

The whole of this area was a chemical works.  The firm closed, the site was cleared but declared
never to be fit for housing as the ground was too badly polluted.
After the site flooded, creating salt lakes and wetland areas it became a nature conservation
area with raised walkways to enable people to get out over the water and watch the wildlife.
