Kingston Upon Hull, UK City of Culture 2017. (Set 1)

My son Michael & I visited the city of Hull recently.  Hull is just over the Lincolnshire border, the other side of the Humber Estuary, in East Yorkshire.

This is "King Billy" a statue of King William 111  opposite the public house named after him.

Another pub, Hull has quite a few, the "Lion & Key"

Inside the Lion & Key, too slow shutter speed.
Or maybe I need to take more water in my drink?

The pub is FULL of an eclectic array of items both inside & out.

Beer mats cover the ceiling.

Hull was home to William Wilberforce, the 18th Century Slave Abolitionist and so it seems
fitting that along this street in Hull is a series of street wall art celebrating Nelson Mandela.
