They covered three days but the main event, the March Past Parade,
was on the Saturday.
The Armed Forces Event is the busiest of the year at Cleethorpes and always
attracts a big crowd.
|
People where in place early to get a good spot to view the parade. |
3 residents waiting for the start. |
A couple of ladies dressed for the occasion as Land Army Girls, they kindly
allowed me to photograph them.
|
People were out to enjoy the weather and entertainment. |
Still waiting. |
The Land Army girls had been joined by two more. |
Parade time and the flags are out. |
Heading the parade are a mounted contingent from the Royal Lancers. |
Various armoured vehicles. |
The RAF Band. |
I think these are Military Police? |
The RAF Pipe Band. |
Flags and marchers from various branches of the Royal British Legion. |
I took more Photo's and will post them in the next blog post
to follow soon.

It looks like you had a beautiful day for the parade! I love to hear a marching band. You have really captured the crowd well making a delightful post as always. All of the photos are great but I especially love the one with the horses and your flag. That’s wonderful!
