  1. So good to see your wonderful post on a very grey and cold day here! The landscape is not unlike the central Midwest of America. The third photo with the trees is stunning in wintry detail. I love that one as well as the one with the livestock grate on the road. There is great potential in that abandoned structure so I hope someone does something interesting on the property. Keep us posted. Thanks, David.

    1. The 3rd photo is a favourite of mine too, I liked the light coming from below. The old barn fascinated me, we've driven past here regularly for many years and didn't know it existed, the hollow it's in was grown over by trees.
We were out a few weeks ago and the road was really muddy, we met a tractor & trailer laden with clay and trees coming toward us. Then we came upon this deep hollow with the old barn. On subsequent days we observed how the area became cleared and saw the mountain of material that had been led away to a field some miles away. I'm intrigued as to what the future is now for this hollow in the hillside hiding an old barn, be sure we'll be nosey & keep watching.

    1. Thank you Mike, we both live in beautiful, but very different areas. Yes, I'm keeping an eye.on the old barn, it's in a bad state. Can't think why someone has "dug it out"
