We've been visiting Grainsby for almost 50 years taking children, Grandchildren and all our dogs including Suzi, our current one.
Every year we look for the arrival of the cows from their winter quarters and then, in the Autumn we hope to keep seeing them until they're gathered in to go into winter accommodation.
They always come over to have a look at us, or maybe they just want to inspect our dog?
Since taking these pictures, the cows have gone into their winter accommodation. We'll be looking forward to their return to the fields at Grainsby again in the Spring.

We too enjoy watching the cows in the nearby pastures and are always pleased when they return for another season. You have captured their casual curiosity very well. These photos are delightful in every way!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed them Ann, Thank you. We passed through there today and it was quite sad not to see them.
DeleteGreat photos, David, like the facial expressions of the cows - there seems to be a gentleness or sadness within the eyes. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about their eyes Mike, I've often thought that too. Nothing sad about the calves in Spring though, they appear full of energy and excitement and run in "gangs" along the fence when we walk past.
