 Our dog Suzi took us for a walk at North Ormsby.

Stormy day in the Lincolnshire Wolds (Lincs. Wolds Rail)

 We had a drive into the Wolds to walk our Suzi and have a packed lunch in the car.  (Still not venturing amongst people or shops).  The weather was variable!

We stopped off at a favourite location, the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway.  Closed, but I was able to access one platform.

Rain when we arrived so we had our lunch in the car.

The rain stopped for a while, in a field were some sheep.  I've not seen so many 
in one field before.

The sun broke through the clouds for a short while.

Rain was on it's way.

This stand of Poplar trees is very well known and photographed, but usually from the 
A16 Louth road.  I took this from a very minor side road to get the Poplars as silhouettes. 

The next few flower pics are from the gardens of some village cottages.

No, not tomatoes from my garden.  These are rose hips from a wild form old English Rose.

"The Fishtail"

In 2017  a new groyne, or breakwater, was constructed on our beach.  I photographed part of it's construction and posted that on this blog, click the link below if you want to see that.

D-Day landings hero.

 In 2017 I photographed a veteran of the D-Day landings as part of my post covering the Cleethorpes Armed Services tribute Parade.  That man was Walter Marshall, a Royal Navy Intelligence Officer.

Sadly, Walter has died and his funeral was last week, an article appeared in our local newspaper.  Walter and some of his comrades played a big part in the landings both on the day and before, it's all in the newspaper report.  I've included a link to the report below:
