North Sea Observatory.

"Oh I do like to be beside the seaside"
The next few posts are along the Lincolnshire coast exploring
the area during the closed season when all the visitors have gone back home.

The North Sea Observatory is at Chapel Saint Leonards, Lincolnshire and was built in 2018.

  1. I think the architects of this building made a brilliant choice in creating a style that is contemporary yet blends perfectly with the environment. While many people may have been offended by the placement of the building in this particular location, it seems a good choice even though I haven't seen the previous view. It looks like a wonderful place to visit it and of course you have photographed it beautifully on that beautiful clear day! I love that you captured so many interesting angles.

    1. Thank you Ann, it is a beautiful building & I think most local people approve of it. From memory, I recall it was a small car park, not very well maintained.

    1. It's impressive and, being right on the edge of the sea, it has a great view. Thanks Mike.

  3. It's a super set of images of what I believe, will become an iconic attraction on the coast. Shame it's expensive to park there. None the less - I do like these against a great sky.

    1. Parking is expensive there whereas, at Skeggy, the seafront car parks cost £2 for all day!! I think Cleethorpes might like to try that (NOT!). 😯
