Skegness (out of season) Set 2 of 2.

"Oh I do like to be beside the seaside"

Continuing our tour of Skegness, out of season.

Our overall impression of Skegness was how everything appeared to be brand new and freshly painted, it wasn't of course, just very well maintained.  In a similar vein we saw hardly any litter or vandalism, very pleasant to see.

This is the "Jolly Fisherman", the mascot for Skegness.

A nearby pub named after him.

A local resident out enjoying the sun.

The clock tower is a Skeggy landmark.

Low sunlight, good for a bit of "street photography".

Lifeguard Station on the beach.

We met this chap with a Cavelier King Charles dog (same breed as our Suzi").  He was very
friendly but doggy was a bit wary.

Wind Turbines 5 miles out in the North Sea.

  1. So Spider Man must like fish and chips!

It certainly looks all neat and tidy - I have a 'thing' about litter especially. Very interesting set of photos.

  2. It looks pretty good David. I like these shots, especially the ones of the lifeguard station

    1. Yes, it's a pity we didn't get there earlier while the sun was on the front of it.
