Ford Mustang Owners Club.

I briefly posted this set of photo's a while ago but took them down again as my wife died.  Her funeral was last week so feel it more appropriate now to continue with my blog.

I managed to get to a meeting of the local Ford Mustang Owners Club in Cleethorpes.   The members meet regularly at this car park and, after having a breakfast in the nearby café, they  drive in a cavalcade along the seafront at Cleethorpes.

When I arrived quite a few of the cars had already lined up.

The Ford Mustang has always been a favourite of mine.

Great licence plate.

There where some great examples, I liked this bright red one.

I was told this is an original 1964 model of a Mustang Convertible.

Lovely example of the iconic Mustang badge.

Super shiny bodywork.

Great interior.

"Boys & their toys!"

It wasn't just the "Horses" that attracted me.  I'm always attracted to a dog.

Or two.

Another Mustang coming to join in.

"Boy Racer" driving this BMW.  A budding Sterling Moss perhaps?
Now I'm showing my age!
I did get permission from his parents to take the photo's and also to put them on my blog.

Dog time.

A Mustang gathering to discuss their respective cars.

This dog was just an onlooker.

One car that really caught my eye was this convertible in red.

This lady is the organiser of the Mustang Owners regular meetings with her Mustang car.

The final line up, well for me anyway.  I had to go.

  1. What fun, David. Have you ever had a Mustang yourself? We often have vintage or specialist car rallies going through the village here and many a gathering is held in the grounds of a local restaurant. I always enjoy watching the cars, especially the very old ones. This collection is very colourful and some of them look quite new!

    1. Belated thanks for your comment Val, much appreciated. Yes, a few of these cars are original models from the 1960's but most are new, current models. I just like photographing colourful things.

  2. Thanks so much for coming along and taking these stunning photos, David. The members of Simply Mustangs UK (we're not the Mustang Owners' Club - that's a totally different group) are all loving them. Hopefully, see you at the next meet

    1. Your comment is shown as anonymous but I'm assuming it's from Jan. This often happens, just put your name at the end of comment. Thank you, I'm pleased people like them and I'll remember the correct name of your group. David

  3. This is a great post! My first car was a 1967 Mustang, which had belonged to my mother. I drove it for 20 years. You’ve done a fantastic job of photographing these beautiful classics. That ‘64 red convertible is special indeed. Delightful photos, great colors as always! I’m happy to see that you are beginning to post again as you feel able. Take care, Ann K.
