Views of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

In complete contrast to my recent industrial subjects, a few pics from a recent drive through our part of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
It was my favourite weather, blue skies, big white clouds & a
very brisk wind to keep them on the move.

This horse usually ambles over to say hello.

It was a warm day and the horses had light covers over them.  Being pale, I'm
assuming they were to reflect the sun to cool the horses.

This old barn suffered a fire several years ago.

A typical Lincolnshire "big sky".

Cereal crop yet to be harvested.

The Clickem Inn public house.

Popular with walkers, cyclists & motorists.

Electricity pylons are a feature of the Lincolnshire landscape as they march
across the scenery.

A stream meanders through this village.

It's tupping time.

A friendly/inquisitive yew came to see me.

She soon departed.

A farmhouse tucked into the Wolds hillside.

A drive around our area often finds us at this thatched cottage, photographed
thousands of times by local photographers so I had to add just one more to my collection.

A panorama of the rolling nature of our Lincolnshire Wolds.

  2. Lincolnshire seems to be so varied with such rich farmland, industry, rivers and coastline! You certainly had a gorgeous day to visit the countryside and your photos reflect that beauty. Delightful!
