Urban Arts festival.

We had an Urban Arts Festival in Cleethorpes back in August 2023.  Popcorn & I had a wander down on a couple of days to have a look and take a few snaps.

These people aren't graffiti vandals, they're well known artists in this genre.

Break time.

The event was based all around our Leisure Centre.

There was a disco all day and this is the DJ.

And this is the DJ's dog!

This group weren't at the Leisure Centre but were performing at a café next door.

Nikon Z50 + 16-50 & 50-250 lenses.

  1. Wow, those are quite some murals, David. I'm always amazed at the precision these street artists manage to achieve with a spray can. I'm never sure if it's really my thing, but I do admire their skill. The DJ and the artists look surprisingly mature for the type of audience you'd expect. Did you enjoy it? And did Popcorn like it too?

    1. I've been to quite a few of these events and yes, I enjoy them. I accept the comment that it's not my art and I'm just recording it but I try to include other elements to show the artist and the materials, or the place and surroundings. Popcorn loved being there too, he likes activity around him.
      Thanks for commenting Val, David.

  2. Interesting to see the artwork ,I like the bright colour combinations. Good to see differing art styles, though this one is not really my cup of tea!
Getting a bit fed up now with all of the recent rain. All the best.

    1. Yes, I like the colours and the artwork is world's apart from the usual graffiti we see
The weather is very depressing, we seem to get one odd day of pleasant sunshine and milder temperatures in between rainy days. One such day was yesterday so Popcorn & I made the most of it.Today is sunny but strong winds and cold. Take care Mike, David.

  3. Colourful post David :) I enjoy graffiti, since living in Brighton and seeing some of the amazing, and not so amazing, stuff on the seafront walls. Will the panels stay up on the leisure centre? Bit rainy & cold down here in Cornwall. Dosing up on coffee before venturing out. Hope there are breaks in the weather for you x

    1. Quite a few panels have been left and surprisingly haven't been vandalised. The rest were removed to go into an exhibition. Sun and heavy showers here, plus really cold. Happy Easter Lulu, David.
