My last post was also from the Humberston Fitties, on a bright but chilly day in June. We returned there during the recent hot sunny weather and the beach area was packed with summer visitors. The walk took us away from that area to where the Tetney Marshes Nature Reserve begins.

| Although some distance from the beach and promenades at Cleethorpes this beach at Humberston is popular in hot sunny weather. Being only 100 yards from a Free car park helps. |

| The boats, just visible out on the beach are from the Humber Mouth Yacht Club. the end of our walk, we returned through the Humberston Fitties Chalet Park, a site that has been given listed protection status. What a beautiful post! So full of life and color with people enjoying the outdoors. It all makes me long for a vacation at the shore! I hope you and Popcorn enjoyed this day. ReplyDeleteThank you Ann. We're at last getting pleasant summer weather but I understand your weather has been really extreme heat/humidity. It must have been very hard to cope with. I do hope you can manage a trip to the shore, I can't imagine living away from the coast, having lived all my life here in Cleethorpes on our east coast. Especially as my father was a fisherman.

Perfect! Always like your coastal photos. The first photo takes m back to childhood. Living in west London as a child trips to the seaside were especially exciting - such memories - splashing in the sea, sandy sandwiches and so on. Thanks for the photos. Good wishes.
ReplyDeleteGlad it brought back memories for you Mike. This beach used to be less well known to our visitors but gets busy during the school holiday period. We'll have it back to ourselves in the Autumn. David.
