Dawn at Humberston Fitties Beach.

I took these pictures in 2005 on a memorable morning at dawn.  The tide had recently receded and the sun came up, dawn is my favourite time of day, much better than sunset as you invariably have it all to yourself.

The boats belong to members of the Humber Mouth Yachting Club.

The boats on the horizon are cargo vessels at the deep water moorings, waiting for the next
high tide to navigate the Humber Estuary to the ports of Grimsby & Immingham.

The structure on the horizon is Haile Sand Fort, one of two WW1 forts at the mouth
of the Estuary, built to protect against invasion.
